For several years, litigation on essential patents has grown exponentially. After concerning mainly the telecoms and electronics sectors, essential patents are now a concern for a great diversity of industries, such as automotive or IoT. In the absence of specific rules governing “Frand” licenses, it is the courts and the competition authorities that set the rules of the game.

Specialists will discuss how the standards are established, what are the main FRAND case law around the world, and how are the royalty rates for essential patents established.

Organized by APEB and LES France, the conference will take place in English and will be followed by a cocktail.
