2020 LESI Winter Planning Meeting – Part II

On behalf of the Licensing Executives Society International (LESI), we are delighted to inform that the 2020 LESI Winter Planning Meeting (WPM) will take place on 21st-23rd February 2020 in Padua, Italy.

As per tradition, the WPM is by invitation of the President-Elect, Audrey Yap.

Event details

  • Friday, 21st February 2020

There will be a day-long seminar organized by University of Padova in collaboration with UniSMART and LES International.

The program will include international speakers addressing current tech transfer and IP licensing issues including protection of trade secrets, emerging trends in AI, Autonomous Vehicles, Cryptocurrency and among other topics of interest to a combined Industry/University audience.  The afternoon session will feature speakers from local Italian businesses.

At 6:30pm, a combined cocktail reception UNISMART & LESI is planned.

At 8:00pm, LESI will organize a wonderful dinner at Ristorante Belle Parti (optional but encouraged – $67pp).

  • Saturday 22nd February 2020

Full-day Winter Planning Meeting with special guest speakers from Academia, Industry and IP Offices.

The day will culminate in drinks and dinner at Café Pedrocchi.

  • Sunday 23rd February 2020

For those interested, there will be opportunities to have a Padua City Tour on Sunday morning and attend Opera in Venice at the Teatro Fenice’s on Sunday evening.

The venue for the Friday and Saturday meetings will be the University of Padua, the second oldest Italian University (founded in 1222) after Bologna, the oldest University in the world (founded in 1088).
